We love simplicity as a function of mastery, but reducing the management of resource allocation down to 3 triangles may be pushing the boundaries too far.
During a recent coaching session to prepare an acquaintance for a commercial management interview in a tech corporate, I sketched some simple models to help illustrate resource allocation competency to a recruiter. On reflection they are the actual models I have been using over many years to help make and explain my own resource allocation decisions:
